How It Works

This tool converts your text into four case styles at once: UPPERCASE (every letter capitalized), lowercase (every letter un-capitalized), Title Case (the first letter of every word capitalized), and aLtErNaTiNg CaSe (case flips with every character — sometimes called "SpongeBob case" or "mocking case").

Each mode updates live as you type, so you can compare all four side by side and copy whichever one you need without retyping anything.

What People Use It For

  • Fixing text typed with Caps Lock accidentally left on.
  • Formatting headers and titles consistently.
  • Creating "mocking SpongeBob case" meme text for sarcastic captions and comments.

Frequently Asked Questions

This tool capitalizes the first letter of every word. It does not apply style-guide rules that lowercase short words like "a," "the," or "of" in the middle of a title — if you need that level of nuance, review the output and adjust those words manually.

No — styled Unicode characters (from the bold, italic, cursive, and other font-generator pages) are different code points than plain letters, so standard case-conversion functions don't recognize them as upper or lowercase. Convert your case first with this tool, then apply a font style afterward if you want both.

Some phone keyboards and word processors have a built-in case-toggle shortcut, but they vary by app and often only cycle through a couple of options. This tool gives you all four case styles at once without digging through a keyboard's settings.
